Canadian company Palette is hoping to help people interact with their computers differently. Throwing aside the classic keyboard/mouse combo, the new company has designed magnetically connected sliders, buttons and dials to help photographers innovate the editing process.
Users have the ability to completely customize the layout, function and color of each cube-like module to work best with their software and workflow. Palette has collaborated with Adobe to integrate their new system with programs like Photoshop CC and Lightroom CC. The physical controls allow the user to work directly with their projects compared to a touchscreen where users have to look down and away from their work.
The new hardware is aimed at making users’ workflow seamless with creative and innovative hands-on controls. Palette is currently working on adding modules with trackballs and motorized sliders. The new controller is perfect for the modern creative. The Aluminum Starter Kit starts at $199 and ships in November.
