Sengled is working to redefine smart and efficient lighting. The company’s bulbs can be controlled from a smartphone app so users can schedule and dim lights to their liking. The new smart bulbs blend energy efficient LED lights with cameras, speakers and Wi-Fi in three different versions.
The Boost combines a dimmable LED and a Wi-Fi range extender. The bulb plugs directly into a light socket and links to the home’s WiFi router. The 13-watt Pulse bulb has a Bluetooth speaker and connects with up to six satellite bulbs to play music throughout the house. Sengled’s newest bulb, Snap, comes complete with a motion sensor, microphone, speaker and built-in webcam. Because Snap is both a camera and a light bulb, it’s a discrete way to maintain security in the home.
All three Sengled designs are currently available.
