The Oaxis Bento Speaker is the newest in wireless speaker technology. Best of all, users don’t have to attempt to electronically pair their phone to the speaker. Instead, the mobile phone simply sits atop the speaker to amplify sound. Although it looks like magic, the Bento Speaker is actually using electromagnetic induction—not WiFi, Bluetooth or infrared—to deliver clear, 360-degree omnidirectional sound.

With round edges and a flat platform to place the phone, the speaker is available in black with a red grille or white with a bright blue grille. The futuristic—and wireless—amplifier can survive on battery life for around 6 hours, and at 1.1 pounds, it’s easy to carry from place to place. Playback control and volume adjustment all takes place on the user’s device, and the speaker is easily powered on and off by the single button on the unit.

The Oaxis Bento Speaker is available for around $60.
