After the success of their gold-plated bicycle, Goldgenie has announced the release of the Segwheel, a 24k-gold-finished self-balancing electric uniwheel. Users are able to direct the new device by switching their weight on the pedals beneath their feet. A simple lean forward or backward will move the vehicle in the right direction. For those who don’t have great balance, customers can elect to include optional stabilizers to keep riders moving.

Goldgenie CEO Laban Roomes received the first Segwheel and is convinced the lightweight vehicle is the urban transport of the future. The compact vehicle is available exclusively from Goldgenie for $44,123. Further customization beyond the standard 24k gold is available with the addition of semi-precious stones, diamonds and personalized laser engraving. Delivery is available worldwide.
