If you’re looking for versatility in furniture, you no longer have to sacrifice style. Enko’s new Archimède table can transition into three different positions and accommodates between four and twelve people. Originally designed as a tribute to the Archimedean screw, the table’s leg doubles as a central screw which works in combination with a compartmentalized tabletop to allow for multiple versions of itself.
In the lowest setting, it resembles a high-end picnic table that seats six with a wide circular base. The middle setting offers guests a chic reception table fit for up to 12. The third setting raises the outer ring above the center circle to create a unique cocktail bar. The French designers at Enko work to blend utility with design, which is how Archimède was born.
The modern convertible table is available for around $5,000.
