Buben & Zörweg has created a new showcase and watchwinder called the Agartos. With high gloss metallic piano lacquer on the aluminum chassis, the Agartos looks like a device from the future. Not only does it hold five watches, its built-in open-dial tourbillon clock fuses style and convenience.

It’s no surprise that Buben & Zörweg has been nominated for the 2015 German Design Award, which honors extraordinary design across the world. The Agartos took two years to develop with a team of 10 world-class experts. 3D printing technology and five-axle CNC machines were used to build the high-tech product. Owners need only to waive a hand in front of the device to trigger its sensor technology and open the doors. The German-crafted work of art can even be ordered with an integrated Buben & Zörweg High Fidelity System. But even after so much time and advanced craftsmanship, the company is only selling 25 examples of this special edition.
