Riding off an all-time sales high, MINI has developed the brand new “Clubman.” Known as the “Gentleman” internally, this model is the first of five. The new collection is focused on realigning the brand and continuing with the success the company has achieved since its 2001 relaunch.
The Clubman is generous in size compared to the classic MINI, adding 10.6 inches in length and 3.5 inches in width. The interior styling offers a more mature, elegant aesthetic that is also seen in the new stripped-back, two-dimensional logo. Although veering from the classic MINI design, it will offer elements like powerful front inlets and wheel arches, a fin antenna, and a long roofline. The Clubman also features split rear doors and new stylized horizontal taillights. With a max storage volume of 44.1 cubic feet, there’s a bit more room in this new version.
While the brand is introducing new models, MINI maintains that the car’s classic charisma and personality will continue in the new vehicles. The introduction of the Clubman marks an innovative move for the company, who will even be offering a car-sharing service in 2016.
