This time, they’re presenting the Nest Cam, an advanced camera that sends secure 1080p HD video directly to your phone while you’re out. The product may have a lot to do with Nest’s purchase of Dropcam last year.

You can use Nest Cam as a baby monitor, to spy on your golden retriever, or to make sure the kids are home on time. With the 130-degree wide angle, you won’t miss a thing. Better yet, you don’t even have to keep watch—Nest Cam does that for you. The camera is able to detect unusual sounds and will notify you to any unusual activity. All recordings are uploaded to the cloud, so your video is always available. Lights off? No problem; the camera is equipped with eight infrared LEDs that allow it to see in the dark.
