Lexus will be officially launching the GS F sedan at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
The sporty four-door vehicle was first shown at the beginning of the year at the North American International Auto Show. Lexus went with a sleeker design with more focus on aerodynamics with the new vehicle. Lexus also focused on keeping the weight down, with the GS F reading at just over 4,000 pounds on the scale, which is lighter than competing cars such as the BMW M5. It is packing sharp quad exhaust pipes as well.
Moving to the innards, the GS F is packing a 5.0-liter V8 that produces 467 HP and 389 pound-feet of torque. That is good enough to hit 60 MPH from a stand still in about 4.5 seconds and push the car to top speeds of 170 MPH. The engine is paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox.
Lexus has yet to announce pricing for the GS F. Most other vehicles in its class have prices hovering around $100,000. It is scheduled to hit showrooms later this year.
