Louisiana’s most expensive home carries an $8 million price tag.

The historic Robinson Mansion in New Orleans sits on 0.63 acres and has over 10,500 square feet of living space. The massive size of the property and home would be impossible today due to modern zoning laws.

“Condos in this area go for $900 or $1,000 per square foot,” Judith Oudt, the home’s listing agent, said. “This beautiful home is now $761 per square foot, and you’ll be the owner of one of the largest, if not the largest, lot of land in the Garden District.”

The home has seven bedrooms, six full bathrooms, and two half-baths. The ceilings are 16 feet high. It also features elegant chandeliers and gold leaf molding.

The home originally listed for $12.5 million back in 2011 and was reduced to $9.5 million back in 2013. So the $8 million dollar price tag is a pretty deep discount.
