A Connecticut home that was once the family vacation house of Hollywood legend Katharine Hepburn has found its way onto the market with a $14.8 million asking price.
The 8,368-square-foot home has six bedrooms each with its own bathroom, 1.5 additional bathrooms, and seven fireplaces over three stories.
The 1.47 acres the home sits on feature a private beach, dock, and pond. It is said that Hepburn would swim on the private beach every day.
The home was bought by Hepburn’s parents in 1913 when the actress was a child. The home was severely damaged in a hurricane in 1938, so Hepburn rebuilt it several years later. The home has been renovated recently. The upgrades include lifting it five feet to protect it from water damage.
The mansion first popped up on the market in 2011 and has been listed on and off ever since.
