You Can Live Across the Street From Warren Buffett for $2M

Billionaire Warren Buffett still lives in the Omaha, Nebraska, home he purchased for $31,500 back in the ’50s. Now you can live across the street from him for about $2 million. To be precise, the sellers are asking for ten “A” shares of Berkshire Hathaway, Buffett’s company.

The home available for sale has five bedroom and 5.5 bathrooms over three stories. That’s 6,265 square feet of living space sitting on a 1/3 acre lot.

The home was recently appraised at just under $1 million. However, the fact that it located near Buffett has increased the value of the home by about $1 million, at least in the seller’s mind.

It is not unheard of for people to pay large sums to feel closer to Buffett. One man spent $2 million to have lunch with Buffett, while another paid well over the market value for an old Cadillac once owned by the billionaire. All things considered, it doesn’t seem like a bad deal. Maybe Buffett will wave at you on a hot summer day while he’s mowing the lawn. Or maybe not.
