British piano brand Goldfinch has teamed up with Based Upon, a London art studio, to create ‘The Baby’ grand piano.

The Baby piano started out as a hand-made sculpture from Base Upon that took the company nine years to complete. Goldfinch took the sculpture and helped make it into a functioning piano.

Goldfinch carefully calculated the exact measurements and changes required to make the piano work. The grand piano has black and white keys with 230 strings.

The Baby will cost around $700,000.
