Audi has announced a car rental pilot program in San Francisco called Audi on Demand. Vehicles available for rent include popular models like the A4 all the way up to the high-performance R8.

Audi has incorporated mobile technology into the program. By downloading the Audi on Demand app, available on iOS, those interested can set up their order. The car they select will be delivered to them by an Audi on Demand concierge, who will also help them get to know the vehicle they are about to drive.

“While competing services point their customers to vehicles parked on the street, Audi on demand delivers a truly premium experience, with concierges personally delivering and returning vehicles for customers where and when they need them,” said Audi of America COO Mark Del Rosso.

All models will come with Premium Plus trim with Quattro all-wheel-drive, SiriusXM satellite radio, and MMI Navigation plus, among other features.

Customers will be able to keep the car up to 28 days, with a limit of 200 miles per day. Prices range from $165 per day for lower-end models to $1,285 a day for the Audi R8.

If successful, the service will be rolled out in other cities.
