Amazon is launching a new delivery program in Munich, Germany, where they will deliver packages to the trunk of Prime customers’ Audis.
Exclusive to Amazon Prime members who own Audi vehicles, the program is currently running on a trial basis. Whether or not the service gets expanded to other parts of the world and perhaps other vehicles depends on how successful this beta period proves to be.
“We are working to offer Prime members a delivery location that is always available and convenient: the trunk of their car,” Michael Pasch, director of Amazon Prime for the European Union, said. “This innovation makes shopping at Amazon even easier and more flexible. It gives customers another way to receive their orders.”
Amazon is working closely with Audi and shipping company DHL to make the service work.
Amazon Prime membership costs $99 annually.
