Moooi Carpets has released a collection of carpets that feature photo-realistic design patterns.
A total of 48 carpets designed by Studio Job, Ross Lovegrove, Neri&Hu, and other designers were created for Extra Moooi’s new carpet company, Moooi Carpets.
“It’s the reinvention of the carpet,” Casper Vissers, Moooi CEO, said.
The company uses technology that allows them to print high-definition, hyper-realistic designs directly onto the carpet. The carpets are created using a huge machine that is over 100 yards long and can use unlimited colors and large pieces of carpet, up to 13 feet wide.
“This revolutionary machine is the cutting-edge result of a massive investment in terms of money and time,” Moooi said. “Several million euros and two years of building and testing have paid off.”
