Nat Rothschild, member of the wealthy Rothschild family,  has listed his New York City West Village townhouse with an asking price of $17.5 million.

“A lot of people when they’re doing their houses, they’re too obsessed with taste, what other people will think,” David Chipperfield, the home’s architect, said. “Nat couldn’t care less about all that.”

The home has a distinct bachelor pad feel but in a classy way, with plenty of areas to lounge and relax. The home is four stories with 5,000 square feet of living space but only has one bedroom, though one of the other rooms could be converted to a bedroom.

While the property does not come with a whole lot of land, it is in New York City after all, the eventual owners can still enjoy the outdoors on a private roof top terrace with an outdoor shower.
