The AgustaWestland AW609 TiltRotor is one part airplane, one part helicopter.

These aircraft are already in use in the military due to their quick travel time and higher fuel efficiency compared to helicopters. Now Augusta Westland is developing the AW609 TiltRotor to be sold to the public.

The aircraft will reach top speeds of 275 mph and will go to an altitude of 25,000 feet. It will carry carry up to nine passengers. The modern cockpit is designed to be operated by two pilots.

Sixty aircraft are currently ready to order. The AgustaWestland AW609 TiltRotor will most likely cost around $24 million.
