Winner of multiple architectural awards, this ultramodern home in Phoenix is on the market for $359,000.
Dubbed the Xeros House, it was designed by current owner and architect Matthew Trzebiatowski. The home is only 12 feet wide, has only 1,608-square-feet of living space, and has only two bedrooms and two bathrooms. However, its geometry creates a sense of large space.
The home is constructed from glass and paneled steel that allows air to flow throughout the house, which diffuses the heat created by the Arizona sun. It’s also worth nothing that the steel will likely never rust because the desert climate inhibits rusting conditions.
The home features an open floor plan with a second floor that has a free flow between two large rooms, one of which serves as the kitchen. The third floor is where you will find the bedroom and bathroom. A winding staircase takes you to the first floor (or basement), which is located three feet below ground level.
