HYT’s hydro-mechanical watch was recently shown off at Baselworld 2015.
The unique watch uses a linear system to tell time as opposed to a traditional circular design. The hydro part of the watch comes in the form of a colored liquid being pushed along the watch to tell the hour and a dial used to articulate the minutes.
In terms of typical timepiece features, the watch still impresses with a 2.4 inche by 1.6 inche case that is .63 inches thick and made from PVD-coated titanium. It is water-resistant up to nearly 100 feet and has a 170-hour power reserve with an indicator at the rear of the watch.
The H3 will be limited to just 25 pieces, each with a price tag of $290,000. The H3 will launch in September.
