Originally listed for $40 million, the historic Kleeberg Residence in the Upper West Side of Manhattan has received a $10 million price cut and now awaits a buyer who is willing to shell out $30 million to own a piece of history.

The townhouse, originally built in 1898, has undergone years of renovations and restoration to return it to its originally intended elegant form. The home had many owners in its storied history. When it was originally built it cost a total of $200,000.

The around 11,000-square-foot, five-story townhouse has six bedrooms, 8.5 bathrooms, and a total of 18 rooms. Climbing five stories would be a lot of work, which is why there is an elevator. The eventual buyers can relax in front of one of the homes nine gas fireplaces. The future owner could also get some sun in the terrace or garden or enjoy the sauna.
