MB&F has partnered with L’Epee to celebrate 10 years of watchmaking by creating a watch that looks like a robot right out of a 1950s sci-fi movie.

The robot-clock’s name is Melchior. The balance and escapement is positioned where the robot’s “brain” would be. In the center of the robot’s chest is the clock, with digits indicating the time.

The quirky design is backed up by some serious tech, as Melchior runs up to 40 days before it needs to be wound again.

Only 90 Melchiors will be produced and each is priced at $35,750.
