Land Rover’s special vehicle operations division has joined forces with fashion designer Paul Smith to create a one-off Land Rover Defender that marks the end of an era.
With Land Rover’s Defender officially ceasing production at the end of this year, Paul Smith and Land Rover have crafted a unique version of the Defender.
The exterior of the Land Rover Defender has been customized with 27 different colors, with some of the colors even representing Defender’s history as a British military vehicle.
“I wanted deep, rich colors, but at the same time, I wanted them to work together yet be surprising.” Smith said.
The interior has also got an upgrade with a mix of leather and fabric also done up in a multi-colored pallet.
“I wanted to give this defender a feeling of luxury,” Smith said. “My designs are known for their attention to detail, so I didn’t want this defender to be any different.”
