Henrik Fisker has taken the Aston Martin Vanquish and overhauled the already top-notch vehicle. Dubbed the Thunderbolt, the result of their creation was recently shown off at the 2015 Amelia Island Concours D’elegance in Florida.
“Aston Martin already makes some of the most beautiful and powerful cars available today,” Beau Boeckmann, Aston Martin President, said. “Henrik’s design builds upon this. it’s simply beautiful and really must be seen in person to understand what an amazing piece of sculptural art it is. the Amelia Island Concours D’elegance is one of the premier car shows in the world, celebrating coach building and fine design, this was the perfect place for Thunderbolt’s debut.”
Every part of the Thunderbolt’s exterior is distinct, from the grille and headlights to the crease-less body structure. The car is crafted from hand-laid carbon fiber and features panoramic dark-tinted windows.
Moving to the inside, the Thunderbolt’s interior entertainment and luxuries are controlled using an 11.6-inche curved touchscreen. The seats are crafted in leather while other surfaces are covered in trimmed leather from Natuzzi. Embedded in the dash is a Maurice Lacroix chronograph. Topping off the interior is a champagne bottle holder.
The Thunderbolt is a one-off prototype, though the company has not ruled out making a limited number by special orders.
