The 2016 Audi R8 was officially announced at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show. The car does not deviate too much from the original design, the changes are mostly evolutionary. The end result remains quite impressive, however.

The car uses Audi Space Frame, which means its lightweight frame is constructed from carbon fiber, plastic, and aluminum materials. The vehicle also comes with standard LED headlights and rear dynamic turn signals.

The Audi R8 is packing a 10-cylinder, 5.2 FSI engine. There are two different versions of the car. The high-end model pumps out 610 HP and will hit 60 MPH from a standstill in 3.2 seconds and top out at 205.1 MPH. The tamer version churns out 540 HP and hits 60 MPH in 3.5 seconds, which is still insanely fast by today’s standards.

“Motorsport is in Audi’s genes, it has always been a permanent feature of our brand’s character,” Ulrich Hackenberg, board member for technical development at Audi, said. “With the new Audi R8, our engineers are bringing accumulated racing expertise from the race track onto the road. No other model of ours evokes more dynamic emotion. the new R8 V10 plus is therefore the most powerful and fastest series-production Audi of all time.”

The interior seats are covered in comfortable leather while the door panels feature a large felt space.

Pricing for the Audi R8 starts at $115,900.
