Swedish company Koenigsegg is jumping into the hybrid supercar market with the Regera, which they recently showed off at the 2015 Geneva Motor Show.
The Regera is powered by a 5.0-liter twin-turbocharged V8, a 9-kilowatt-hour lithium ion battery, and three electric motors. The gas and electric engines working together push out an astounding 1,500 horsepower. The car will go to 250 MPH in under 20 seconds, though that has yet to be officially confirmed.
The doors, hood, and trunk can be opened remotely. The engine rests on a mount that helps reduce vibrations.
On the inside, the car has memory foam seats and built-in Wi-Fi with Apple CarPlay. The 9-inch touchscreen allows users to control the car’s infotainment system. Front and rear camera along with parking sensors help make parallel parking easier.
Only 80 Koenigsegg Regeras will be made. Pricing information has yet to be revealed.
