A Finnish man must pay $60,000 for speeding ticket—he was going 14 MPH over the limit.

Reima Kuisla, a Finnish businessman, was going 64 MPH in a 50 MPH zone. The ticket was so high because in Finland fines like speeding are linked to income. Before issuing the ticket, the authorities looked at his 2013 tax return and saw that he had earned over $7 million.

“Finland is impossible to live in for certain kinds of people who have high incomes and wealth,” Kuisla said.

The incident is similar to one that occurred in 2002 when a Nokia executive expressed his unhappiness with being fined over $125,000 for speeding on his Harley Davidson motorcycle. His annual income was $15 million.

In 2010, a Ferrari driver in Switzerland worth of more than $20 million got a ticket for $290,000. In Germany, speeding tickets can be as high as $16 million.
