Mercedes-Benz has unveiled a new off-road-capable concept: The G500 4×4². The body of the vehicle has a rugged appearance that gives off the vibe of an all-terrain vehicle.

The Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² is powered by a 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine that churns out 422 horsepower. The body of the vehicle sits nearly 1.5 feet off the ground and features carbon fiber components. Not much information is known about the interior at this time.

The Mercedes-Benz G500 4×4² is just a prototype, but it’s pretty close to production specs. Mercedes-Benz suggested that if the response to the concept at Geneva is overwhelmingly positive, the vehicle could go into full production before the end of the year.
