Rumor has it that Jaguar may unveil its F-Type-inspired crossover vehicle, the F-Pace, in March at the Geneva Motor Show.
“The Jaguar F-PACE, inspired by the F-TYPE, represents a perfectly judged balance of performance, style and practicality,” Ian Callum, Jaguar design director, said in a press release.
This is Jaguar’s first venture into the luxury crossover vehicle market. The vehicle will also take many of its design cues from the XC-17 concept that was shown off back in 2013. It will be constructed from a lightweight aluminum frame.
“We received such an overwhelmingly positive response to the C-X17 concept car last year that we just had to make it a reality,” Callum said.
The interior will be spacious and even perhaps challenge luxury vehicles in the SUV market, with room for five passengers.
What the F-Pace would be packing under the hood was kept under warps during the announcement.
