Audi is going to take the customization of their vehicles up a notch by allowing customers to use virtual reality headsets to build the car of their dreams.
This new service that Audi hopes will be in all their dealerships by the end of 2015, will allow users to sit inside a virtual version of a car as they configure it to their exact specifications via a VR headset.
The headset will allow customers to change the color, trim options, audio systems, interior materials such as leather, and more. Audi says their hope is that the technology will allow customer to build their own car the way they want it from the wheels to the roof.
To further enhance the experience, customers will also put on a pair of Bang & Olufsen headphones so they can completely immerse themselves in the car-building experience.
