The new 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 is already an upgraded version of the standard Corvette but apparently that was not good enough for the good folks down at Hennessey Performance, so they upgraded the new Corvette Z06 to pump out 1,000 ponies.

Hennessey increased the horsepower and pick up of the Corvette Z06 by adding forged rods and pistons, ported cylinder heads, and a custom-made camshaft to the already supercharged V8 engine.

On top of the changes under the hood, those who want an upgraded 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 get an upgraded interior as well. The interior will be wrapped in suede microfiber leather along with some Hennessey floormats. The outside of the car will also be offered in some bold new colors. Colored wheels and brake calipers are also options.

The 1,000-hp 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 from Hennessey will be extremely limited in availability and will carry a $78,995 price tag.
