The founder of the collapsed renewable energy company Solyndra, Christian Gornet, has cut the asking price of his California home from $4.298 million to $3.988 million.

Located in Portola Valley, an exclusive community in the Santa Cruz Mountains near Stanford University, the 4,654-square-foot home has four bedrooms and four-and-a-half bathrooms. The living room features high, vaulted ceilings, while the kitchen has exposed-beam ceilings to give the home a rustic feel to go with its rustic location.

The property also has an outdoor hot tub and hiking trails nearby.
