$139M Gold-Plated Florida Mansion is the Most Expensive Home in America

A mansion on Millionaires Mile in Hillsboro, FL, Has been listed on the market for $139 million, making it the most expensive publicly listed home for sale in the U.S.

The 60,000-square-foot home sits on four acres and has 465 feet of beachfront property. The Palace of Versailles in France inspired the home’s architecture, including much of the gold incorporated into the design.

On the outside you will find an LED-lit pool and Jacuzzi as well as six fountains.

The home has 11 bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, a bar and lounge, a living room with a 3-D television, a huge 1,300-gallon aquarium, an underground 30-car parking garage, and an IMAX theater.

The mansion is still under construction but is scheduled to be completed by 2015.
