Many commercial space travel companies are raising a lot of money at the moment on just the idea that in the near future commercial spaceflight might become a viable business model. Boeing is the latest to set plans into motion for a future spaceflight business venture.
“We are moving into a truly commercial space market and we have to consider our potential customers–beyond NASA–and what they need in a future commercial spacecraft interior,” Chris Ferguson, a director for Boeing’s Commercial Crew Program, said in a press release.
Boeing plans to give astronauts and those who can afford a seat on their conceptual spaceship a first-class spaceflight experience. The cabin will feature the same ambient lighting that is on Boeing’s planes, which is a colored LED system. Wi-Fi will also be available, as well spacious storage pods.
