Big time Hollywood heavyweight director Ron Howard recently put his big time, heavyweight home on the market.
The lakefront property located in Conyers Farm in Greenwich, Connecticut was built by the Apollo 13 director as a place he could get away from the hustle and bustle of Hollywood to raise his family.
“We moved 3,000 miles away from the hub of Los Angeles to raise our family here,” Howard said. “Whether we’re watching films in our theater, walking the trails throughout our property, stargazing in our observatory, or just relaxing with friends and loved ones by the lake, Cheryl and I feel we’ve accomplished the goals we set when we began work on this place.”
The 17,200 square feet estate features five bedrooms, six bathrooms, four half bedrooms, a private screening room, a two-story library/office, an indoor pool, six fireplaces, a yoga studio, and a gym. The property also features a tennis court, a basketball half-court, an observatory, natures trails, gardens, and a greenhouse.
With Howard’s children grown, the family has decided to sell the property for $27.5 million.
