The Axor Starck V faucet is a concept designed by Philippe Starck for Hansgrohe. It is a transparent faucet that presents your water the way you would want to drink it, clearly.
“My father Klaus Grohe has long been preoccupied with exploring the vortex phenomenon. His idea of using the vortex to enable people to experience water was fundamental in the creation of this mixer”, Philippe Grohe, Head of the Axor brand, said.
Combining art-sculpture elements with a liquid vortex effect, the Axor Starck V is just as much art as it is a faucet, yet the design is still minimalist in concept. The designers have taken away all the unnecessary elements featured on other faucets, leaving a transparent spout that pours your water in an organic fashion.
The faucet is available with a white, chrome, or brass base. It also comes as a single lever basin mixer, a 2-hole basin mixer, and a single lever mixer. Expect the The Axor Starck V to cost around $1,000.
