The Qoros eBIQE Electric Bike Concept turned more heads at the Geneva Motor Show than many of the impressive cars that were showed off alongside of it and with good reason.
This mountain bike-style two-wheeler is much more than a bicycle. For starters it has three different riding modes. The first mode is basic pedaling. The second mode turns on an electric motor that assists you while you pedal. The third mode turns the The Qoros eBIQE Electric Bike Concept full electric, no pedaling required.
The bike’s electric motor will take you up to 75 miles on a full charge and reaches top speeds of 40 mph. When your charge gets low, it only takes 80 minuets to get back on the road.
The bike also has a feature that you do not normally see on a typical bicycle. It has a five-inch touchscreen mounted to the handle bars. The touchscreen will recognize your fingerprint in order to activate. The screen gives you access to the road conditions, navigation, and battery level all through a high-speed 3G connection. The information can also be accessed via a smartphone, tablet, PC, or MAC via an app.
The navigation feature is particularly impressive. It will incorporate real-time updates, taking into consideration accidents, weather, and charging stations to give you the quickest route between two points and the most accurate travel times.
The bike is made out of hand-laminated carbon-fiber and is inspired by Qoros’ unique vehicle designs.
There is currently no information available regarding the Qoros eBIQE Electric Bike Concept leaving the concept phase and being sold to the public.
