The Stir Kinect Desk by Stirworks is the world’s first height-adjustable smart desk, and isis the brainchild of J.P. Labrosse, former apple engineer. Labrosse played an integral role on the iPod engineering team.
What makes this desk so smart is that it has a built-in Wi-Fi, bluetooth, and a touchscreen. It also comes with software that is designed to adapt to your work style. It is fitted with a thermal presence sensor that keeps track of the user’s arrival, records, and standing time. The desk is fitted with both AC and USB ports.
One of the biggest problems with being stuck at a desk is a decline in fitness and this desk goes a long way in remedying that problem. The desk will even sync with your wellness and fitness apps.
The first round of the Stir Kinect Desk launched last year and Stirworks is currently taking orders for another batch that will ship later in the spring. The desk costs $3,900.
