Earlier this month, at the 84th Geneva Motor Show, Mercedes-Benz debuted its S Coupe, and it caught a lot of attention. In April, at the New York Auto Show, Mercedes will try to top itself with the 2015 Mercedes Benz S63 Coupe AMG 4MATIC.
Under the hood is the familiar hand-built AMG twin-turbocharged 5.5 liter V-8 engine. To set it apart, though, the ponies have been upped to 585 hp and 664 pound-feet of torque. The car has an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The car’s lightweight allows it to go from 0-62 mph in just under four seconds and tops out at 186 mph.
On the inside, the car offers the luxury that you expect from Mercedes-Benz. It features bucket seats, center arm rests, a three-spoke sports steering wheel, and is embossed with the AMG logo.
Rumor has it the 2015 S63 AMG Coupe will cost around $200,000. An official price will be announced at the New York Auto Show in April.
