The creators of the PlayStation 3 racing game Gran Turismo 6 asked the world’s top car manufacturers to design virtual concepts of what future cars may look like for their game. One of those cars is the Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo, which is more than just a virtual concept.
The car is very real and features a AMG V8 biturbo engine that pushes out 577hp and a maximum torque of 590 lb-ft. The car is made from aluminium spaceform with some carbon fiber to keep it light.
The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo was just a show car and Mercedes-Benz had no plans to produce the car for consumers. However, J&S World Wide Holdings, an independent Florida company, has committed to building five of these vehicles. The car will maintain all the specs of the Mercedes-Benz show car except it will be made completely from carbon fiber.
All five of the cars have already sold at $1.5 million.
