Apple unveiled the new iPad on Tuesday. Called the iPad Air, The full-size 9.7-inch tablet weighs only one pound – that’s 0.4 lbs less than its predecessor. It’s also about 20% thinner – only 7.5mm.
The iPad Air will feature Apple’s new A7 chip with 64-bit architecture, a M7 motion coprocessor, a 5-megapixel iSight camera, Facetime HD capabilities, and high-performance Wi-Fi. The iPad Air will be twice as fast in both function and Wi-Fi capabilities as its predecessor.
The release date for the iPad Air is set for Friday, November 1. Prices start at $499 and go up to $929. Prices vary based on the size of the hard drive desired (16GB to 128GB available) and whether you opt for Wi-Fi or Wi-Fi + cellular models.
