The Ulysse Nardin Royal Ruby Tourbillon’s bridges and main plates are crafted in ruby and sapphire, making the flying tourbillon appear to defy gravity. Its movement parts are skeletal and symmetrical, while the manual winding system is unseen.
The Royal Ruby is set with 12 rubies distinguishing the hours, accompanied by 48 diamonds. Each gemstone is cut to fit the 41 mm platinum case made for this collection. It is attached to an alligator leather strap with a platinum folding buckle.
The Royal Ruby Tourbillon is limited to only 99 pieces. A price for the Royal Ruby as yet to be set, but its sibling piece, the Royal Blue, sells for upwards of $200,000.
