Volvo’s new Concept Coupe Hybrid will be officially unveiled at the upcoming 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
The Concept Coupe mixes elements of the brand’s iconic P1800 coupe of the 1960s and modern aesthetics. This creates an angular and low-sitting car that Volvo hopes will appeal to both nostalgic car collectors and new car buyers. The Concept Coupe features a low hood and roof line, and 21-inch wheels. The interior features aged wood, a leather dash, and a gearshift lever cut from crystal. A touchscreen interacts with the digital gauges and head-up display.
The Concept Coupe has a 2.0-liter four-cylinder with both supercharging and turbocharging, and an electric motor on the rear axle with about 400 horsepower, according to Volvo. More details on the Volvo Concept Coupe Hybrid will be available after the 2013 Frankfurt Auto Show.
