IXO has created an entirely carbon-fiber-made skateboard. There are two types of skateboards, a mid-sized skateboard and a longboard, fully made in carbon fiber prepeg and nomex.
Each of the skateboards sport three different types of carbon fabrics, 5 layers of carbon and 6 layers of high-gloss varnish. Grade 5 titanium screws and nuts hold the boards together. Measuring an approximate 1.5 mm in thickness, the skateboards are strong, durable, and lightweight. Lastly, the skateboards provide skaters with a good grip, which is something all skateboards seek.
The Skateboard IXO SK 01 is available for about $1,500. The Longboard IXO SK 02 is $1,700.
