Ferrari has released photos and specs on the 458 Speciale, which will have its official debut at the Frankfurt Auto Show in September.

The Ferrari 458 Speciale will pack a 4.5-liter V-8 that will produce 597 horsepower. Ferrari reports that the 458 Speciale will go from 0-62 mph in just 3.0 seconds and 0-124 mph in 9.1 seconds.  It has a similar body style to the LaFerrari.  However, Ferrari says they have added new aerodynamic features on the 458 Speciale in order to ensure balanced downforce and to reduce drag.  The 458 Speciale also introduces a new electronic feature, Side Slip Angle Control (SSC). SSC can monitor the car’s slip angle, optimizing the flow of torque across the rear axle via the electronic differential.

A price has yet to be set for the Ferrari 458 Speciale.  Expect more details to be released after it is unveiled in September.
