Samsung is planning on debuting the Galaxy Gear, a smartphone-like wristwatch, on September 4.
The reveal will come one week ahead of a scheduled Apple event. Apple is expected to release an iWatch later this year or in early 2014, but the device is rumored to be unveiled at their September 10 conference.
The Galaxy Gear would be able to handle the common tasks of a smartphone, including making phone calls, surfing the Web, texting, and e-mail while fitting on your wrist.
