Symbol Audio, based in New York, has created a desk with a built-in audio system. The Audio Desk has a thin cabinet covered with sliding metal panels, which contain two four-inch, eight-watt full range speakers with titanium cones.  Concealed in the desk is a 1/4-inch, 15.5 watt subwoofer.  The desk connects to both streaming devices (Apple devices and Airport Express) and has a stereo input jack that will connect to any device.

The writing desk comes in solid oak, walnut, cherry, and maple.  Prices start at $3,950 plus shipping.
