In 2012, PLAiR was able to raise $2.1 million from Roger McNamee and Mike Maples’ Floodgate Fund in order to develop a product. The product was something of a mystery with rumors that it would be unveiled at CES 2013 but that did not happen. It is now on the market.
The device allows you to stream HD videos and pictures from you smart phones, laptops or tablets to your television without the need for HDMI cables. The app for the device works on both iOS and Android mobile devices. You can purchase PLAiR for $99.
