Jaguar entered a prototype of the C-X75 hybrid in the Michelin Supercar hill run at the Goodwood Festival of Speed. Up until this point the car had only been seen at its debut at the Paris Motor Show in 2010. The C-X75 was slated for a limited production run from 2013 – 2015, but those plans were nixed.
The C-X75 is powered by a combination of two electric motors and a gas engine. It develops more than 850 total bhp and has a 502 hp, supercharged 4-cylinder engine. It is capable of accelerating from 0-100 in less than six seconds and has a top speed of 220 mph. It is also fuel efficient running 55 mpg.
Jaguar has said that the C-X75’s appearance at the Goodwood Festival does not mean the car is going into production.
