Ohio golfers will soon be able to use hovercrafts on the Windy Knoll Golf Course in Springfield.
A video of golfer Bubba Watson riding around the gold course (over the green and water) on a futuristic hovercraft went viral on YouTube and many assumed it was a joke. However, Watson, in conjunction with Neoteric Hovercraft, has produced a hovercraft golf cart.
The Windy Knoll Golf Course has bought some of these hovercrafts at the price of $58,000 per vehicle. The hovercrafts will be available for rent at $230 beginning in late August. The golf course will be throwing a “Hover Bash” on July 27 to unveil the hovercrafts.
